This policy explains what information the Lehigh Valley Chiropractic, PC website (lehighvalleychiropractic.com) collects and how we use it. It covers this website only. How we protect your health information as a patient is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Please don’t send health information through this website
This website is for general information and for contacting our office. Please don’t include symptoms, diagnoses, medications or other health details in a website message. Call us at 610-868-6800 instead, or tell us at your visit.
Information you give us
- Contact form. If you send us a message through the website, we receive your name, email address, phone number and message. We use them only to reply to you, and we don’t share them with our analytics tools.
- Phone calls and email. If you call or email us, we use what you share to help you.
Booking appointments through Jane
The “Book online” buttons take you to our scheduling system, Jane (lvc.janeapp.com). Jane is a separate website run by Jane Software Inc., with its own privacy policy and its own cookie settings, which we don’t control.
- Your health information is protected. Jane handles appointment, intake and health information on our behalf under a HIPAA business associate agreement. That information is protected as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Cookies on Jane. Jane uses cookies to run the booking site, such as keeping you signed in. Some may be set by Jane’s own service providers. Jane’s privacy policy explains them and your choices.
- Our analytics on Jane. We may connect our website analytics to our Jane booking pages so we can tell whether visitors from this website go on to book. If we do, it measures visits and whether a booking was completed. We set it up so that the details you type into Jane, such as your name, contact details, reason for visit and intake answers, are not sent to our analytics provider.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website: which pages they visit, how they found us (for example, a search engine), roughly where they are (city level), what device and browser they use, and whether they click to call or book. The tool uses cookies or similar technology to tell repeat visits apart. We use these reports in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify you.
- Google services. Our map is a Google Maps embed, and our fonts load from Google Fonts. When a page loads them, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information under Google’s own privacy policy.
Your choices about cookies and analytics
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
- Cookie choices on Jane’s booking pages are managed by Jane. See Jane’s privacy policy.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your information.
- We don’t use advertising trackers or retargeting pixels (such as the Meta Pixel) on this website or on our Jane booking pages.
- We don’t send what you enter in our contact form, or anything you enter in Jane, to analytics or advertising companies.
- We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website.
Keeping information safe
The site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason we ask you not to send health details through the website.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page.
